Danielle's Mouth-Danielle's Mouth (NuNoise)

This New York based quartet has been making some waves in the Manhattan music scene for a while, and with their debut album they've lived up to the hype. Led by transplanted Los Angeleno singer/songwriter Danielle Gerber, the band already sounds like a steady veteran instead of first timers.

While the band is very good musically, their ace in the hole is the voice of leader Gerber who can switch gears from the the rock theatrics of "Since You've Gone" to the heartstopping ballad "Forgive Me This," Danielle's Mouth have the goods for the big time. (2/97)
